Superbon: January Edition
The best dishes, drinks, and treats of the past month in New England and Paris
Superbon is a monthly series for paid subscribers only of the things that are, well, superbon. The creme de la creme of the past month. Without further ado, my favorite flavors and finds.
I was back in the states for about a month where I managed to get the flu quite badly for weeks, cut the top of my finger off, then returned to France just in time for a horrific bout of food poisoning. I have big feelings about ice cream from Big Feeling in Providence, namely that it is excellent. I had the fluffernutter and the pandan pineapple which was unexpectedly but pleasantly salty?
This very tender veal with mushrooms and a phenomenal pommes anna (layered potato cake) from Le Bon Georges.
Not to be outdone by the spectacular cheese course.
